After this, Mike continued to expand his knowledge of membership organisations, with stints at the Royal Society of Medicine, RICS and the Society of Operations Engineers before going into consultancy. He has extensive marketing strategic and tactical knowledge of membership growth, improving renewal and retention, as well as marketing professional accreditation and a range of commercial products within the membership environment. He also understands the membership sector thoroughly, and can comfortably navigate the complex internal landscapes and associated stakeholder management.
On top of his pure marketing skills, he is a CMS and CRM expert, and also has wide working knowledge of running events and communications functions. He also practices what he preaches in membership, and recently gained Chartered status.
Outside of work: Mike is dad to Pablo, a 4-year-old Staffy/Dogue de Bordeaux cross. He also enjoys spending time travelling round Asia and America as often as he can.
